THE IDEA

A small camera for the people, places, and moments your phone keeps interrupting.

Every screen-time app you've tried failed for the same reason: none of them touched the one function you can't live without. The camera is the trap door. Take the camera out of the phone and the trap door closes.
WHAT THEY ADMITTED

The architects, on the record.

We made this for the version of you that existed before they figured out how to keep you scrolling.

"We needed to give you a little dopamine hit every once in a while. It's a social validation feedback loop. Exploiting a vulnerability in human psychology."

Sean Parker · Founding President, Facebook · 2017

"The short-term, dopamine-driven feedback loops we have created are destroying how society works."

Chamath Palihapitiya · Former VP of User Growth, Facebook · 2017

"I wake up in cold sweats every so often thinking, what did we bring to the world?"

I bought it on a whim. Two weeks in, my four-year-old asked where the camera went, not where my phone went. That has never happened.

Screen time was 6h 12m. I left the phone in a drawer at the cabin and took the camera instead. My partner noticed by Sunday. Sold him on one too.

I was worried the photo quality would be a downgrade. It is, slightly. I don't care. The photos I have of my kid this spring exist because I had this in my pocket and not a feed.

Small enough to forget.

HONEST ANSWERS

The friction is the feature.

How does the photo and video quality compare to my phone?

In daylight and good indoor light, the photos look honest and warm. Video records at 1080p with a slight retro grain — the kind that makes ordinary moments look like they were saved on purpose. In low light, your phone will be sharper. We are not trying to replace your phone for every shot. We are trying to replace the reach for it.

Does it shoot video, or just photos?

Both. Photos save as JPG, video as 1080p AVI at 30 frames per second. About 80 minutes of recording per full charge, or several hundred photos. Everything saves to the same microSD card. Switch between photo and video mode with one button on the camera.

Does it have filters?

Yes. Built-in retro filter modes you can switch through on the camera itself — black and white, sepia, faded color, and several warm vintage looks. No app, no editing software, no post-processing. Each photo and video is saved with the filter already applied. The point is that the output looks intentional the moment it leaves the camera.

How do I get the photos and videos off the camera?

Both save to a microSD card. Plug the card into a laptop to review and save the ones you want. There is no app, no cloud, no sync. That is the entire point. The friction is what keeps the camera from becoming another way to scroll.

Does it feel cheap?

It is small, but it is not flimsy. The body is ABS plastic with an anodized finish, weighted to feel solid in the hand. We sweated the small details: the click of the shutter button, the slight resistance on the keychain clip, the matte finish that does not show fingerprints. You will know within five seconds of holding it.

How long does the battery last?

About 80 minutes of video recording, or several hundred photos, on a full charge. For most people taking 10 to 15 photos a day with the occasional short video, that is roughly a week. Charging takes 3 to 4 hours over USB-C. Charge it on a Sunday and forget about it most weeks.

What is the return policy and what if it breaks?

30 days to return it. If it does not change how you spend your time, send it back for a full refund. We pay return shipping inside the US. No questions, no restocking fee, no hard sell to keep it. After 60 days, the one-year limited warranty covers manufacturing defects - if something goes wrong that is on us, we replace it. If something goes wrong that is on you, we offer half-price replacements for the first year. We want you to use it, not protect it.
